Season after season, "The Dress" has been at the top in the fashion world. However "The Skirt" has been nudging its way back to life, by becoming exceedingly more prevalent on the runways and in stores. Numerous skirts began quietly popping up last spring. The Mini, Full Mini, and Pleated Mini where just the beginning of what would eventually turn out to be a returning trend.
This past fall mini skirts still held there ground but some hemlines began dropping to the knee. Designers created a fuller tulip like shape and fitted high-waist versions. Now that we are on the brink of spring, designers continued there voyage south with the addition of The Midi - not to be confused with The Mini. The Midi is a couple of inches above the ankle. The Long Maxi skirt is also increasing in popularity. Though The Midi and Maxi are the newest to graze the runways and fashion magazines you are still going to see may different variations and silhouettes. As far as The Dress is concerned, it is still important, but just no longer the only act in town. With all these different hemlines to choose from, the selection is more diverse then ever. There certainly is a skirt for every buddy and every body.
